What published international tuition fees actually cover.
A price is only useful when you know its intake, academic year and coverage. We audited our curated programme catalogue to make those differences visible.

The finding in one minute
Of 14 programme records at 7 universities, 10 contain a published international tuition amount and 4 need fee confirmation. Nine amounts are annual undergraduate fees for 2027/28. The remaining published figure needs confirmation of its coverage across a 16-month postgraduate route. These are findings about our catalogue, not the UK market.
What the prices show
The 9 annual undergraduate fees range from £27,100 to £33,500 for 2027/28. They come from just 3 universities: Bath, Lancaster and York. This is a range within a deliberately selected sample, not the cheapest and most expensive UK degrees.
The sample contains five Bath records, so treating all nine prices as independent evidence of national pricing would overstate its breadth. We do not publish a national average, a university value ranking or an estimate of return on investment from these observations.
A published amount is not always a complete quote
The Portsmouth Data Analytics MSc for January 2027 has a published £19,200 full-time international fee under 2026/27. Its 16-month duration makes the complete payment schedule important. We classify that coverage separately and exclude the figure from the 2027/28 annual undergraduate comparison.
For Bath, the course pages establish the subject and route, while a separate official 2027 tuition schedule provides the relevant fee band. We retain both links. York and Lancaster publish the selected annual amounts on their course pages. A course link alone is not always enough to reproduce a fee check.
Missing prices need a question, not an estimate
Four records have no verified amount for their stated intake. We preserve those gaps instead of importing a previous year’s price. For example, the September 2027 Accounting and Finance MSc needs its own fee confirmation; a September 2026 price does not settle that question.

Methodology and limits
- Selection: all 14 records in the CourseToJob catalogue on 24 September 2026. Selection favoured accounting, computing, business, economics, engineering and psychology, with upcoming January or September 2027 intakes. It was not random and has no national sampling frame.
- Unit of analysis: one named programme, route and intake. Several records can belong to the same university. Counts are not student-weighted.
- Collection: secondary research from official university pages, reviewed on the date shown for each record. No student survey, university endorsement or admissions decision is implied.
- Classification: record the published amount in GBP, academic year, annual or programme scope, and any unresolved coverage. Use a missing value when no amount is verified. An unverified record is not evidence that no price exists elsewhere.
- Comparison: restrict the range to non-missing annual undergraduate international fees for 2027/28. Exclude postgraduate, differently dated and unresolved-scope figures. No conversion into whole-degree costs is performed.
- Reproducibility: the downloads preserve every input, source link, classification and review date. Count eligible rows and take their minimum and maximum to reproduce the reported range.
The sample excludes most UK institutions and many subject areas. Fees do not include accommodation, travel, immigration charges or unlisted course expenses. Publication dates and review dates are different: university pages can change after our check. See our site-wide evidence policy and publisher information.

Use the findings in your own shortlist
Compare the accounting and finance programmes, computer science options or psychology degrees that match your interests. Ask admissions for the full fee schedule, later-year increase policy, deposit terms and any placement charges.
Then use the study budget planner to combine tuition with your own living-cost quotes. Review scholarship conditions and your country-specific application guidance before committing to an offer.
Your questions, answered
What is the average international tuition fee in the UK?
This study cannot estimate a UK average. Its 14 programme records were deliberately selected for a small comparison catalogue, rather than sampled to represent UK universities or students.
Can I multiply an annual fee by the number of years?
That can be a rough scenario, but it is not a verified course quote. Annual increases, placement charges, optional years and other costs can change the total. Request the university’s complete fee schedule.
Does an unverified fee mean the university has not published it?
No. It means this record does not contain a verified amount for the stated intake and fee status. The university may have published more information since the recorded review date.
