How will UK universities assess my qualifications?

Universities set their own requirements. The Manchester examples below illustrate what to check; they do not determine eligibility at other institutions or guarantee an offer.

Undergraduate study

Manchester normally requires an approved foundation programme for the Nepali Higher Secondary Certificate. It assesses A-level/IB routes separately and directs applicants holding Indian qualifications to its India guidance. Use the qualification you studied, not nationality alone, to find the right policy.

Master’s and further study

Ask each admissions team to review the duration, institution and transcript of your bachelor’s degree and any master’s. Manchester’s published Nepal guidance describes a bachelor’s-plus-master’s route for taught postgraduate consideration; do not assume that every university uses the same requirement.

What will the course and UK living costs be?

Fees depend on your course, intake and individual fee status. Read a university’s international fee schedule and confirm whether the amount is annual or for the complete programme. A deposit may be part of tuition, so avoid counting it twice.
