Start with the application requirements: file format, page or word limits, and information the employer requests. Then test whether the tool can export a readable document without losing any important details.
Write down the problem you want a purchase to solve: editing an existing file, formatting a difficult document, obtaining professional feedback or managing applications across devices. If a free tool already solves that problem, the remaining decision is convenience.
Human review and software exports are different services. Before buying a review, establish what is included, who will review your work, whether revisions are available and whether you can keep an editable copy.

How should you use AI-generated suggestions?
Check every statement against your real experience. Remove invented employers, credentials and achievements. A fluent paragraph is not evidence that a claim is true. Follow the employer’s rules about AI assistance.
You can use the phrase library as a writing prompt, but replace example details with your own. Keep a final human review for dates, contact details, qualifications and the employer’s requested format.
