IT Support CV example

What to include in a it support cv: relevant evidence, skills, sample achievement structures and template suggestions.

A useful starting point

Show ticket volume, time-to-resolve, and the stack you supported. One or two pages. Skip a fake architect title. Skip this if you are applying for engineering roles — this evidence will not substitute for shipped code.

These examples illustrate structure, not a real applicant’s history. Replace every sample detail with your own evidence. Follow the employer’s instructions on qualifications, registration, document length and file format.

Evidence to consider

  • Ticketing tool
  • OS and identity stack
  • SLAs you hit
  • Customer group (staff, students, public)

Illustrative achievement bullets

  • Closed 25–35 tickets a day on ServiceNow against a 4-hour first-response SLA
  • Imaged 80 Windows laptops in a refresh week with 2 failed builds
  • Reduced repeat password tickets 15% with a new MFA how-to
  • Escalated 12 P1 outages with a written timeline for the duty manager

Relevant skills to substantiate

ServiceNow · Windows · Microsoft 365 · Active Directory · Remote support · Customer communication

What to leave out

  • Buzzword clouds
  • Photos
  • Confidential ticket detail

Choose a layout

Explore the classic template or use it in the CV builder. This is a suggested layout; follow the vacancy’s requirements.

Frequently asked questions

Should I include customer satisfaction scores?

Yes if they are real and dated. Do not invent a CSAT.

One page or two?

One until you have several years or a team-lead scope. Then two.

Do I list every app you supported?

List the ones in the advert plus the identity stack. Not fifty line-of-business names.
