Project Manager CV example

What to include in a project manager cv: relevant evidence, skills, sample achievement structures and template suggestions.

A useful starting point

Lead with a delivered outcome, budget or timeline, and the constraint. Two pages. Skip a methodology slogan with no project. Skip this if you coordinated meetings but did not own delivery — use administrator or BA examples instead of inflating the title.

These examples illustrate structure, not a real applicant’s history. Replace every sample detail with your own evidence. Follow the employer’s instructions on qualifications, registration, document length and file format.

Evidence to consider

  • Budget or value
  • Timeline
  • Team size
  • A risk you managed

Illustrative achievement bullets

  • Delivered a £1.2m office move two weeks early with 140 staff relocated
  • Ran a RAID log of 60 items; closed 18 red risks before go-live
  • Coordinated 9 suppliers on a fit-out with weekly steering
  • Introduced a fortnightly demo that cut surprise scope by half

Relevant skills to substantiate

Delivery · RAID · Stakeholder management · Budget tracking · MS Project · Change control

What to leave out

  • Prince2 as the whole personality
  • Photos
  • Gantt images

Choose a layout

Explore the professional template or use it in the CV builder. This is a suggested layout; follow the vacancy’s requirements.

Frequently asked questions

Do I list every methodology?

Name the one the advert uses if you hold it. Do not wallpaper Agile/Waterfall/PRINCE2.

Should I include a photo?

No for UK office PM roles.

Two pages?

Yes. One page hides the only evidence that matters: what shipped.
