When to use Academic
Use Academic when the committee expects publications, teaching, and grants in a readable stack. It can run longer than two pages when the field requires it. Skip it for industry jobs — hiring managers do not want a paper list. Use Classic and a two-page cut instead.
Who it suits
Lecturers, researchers, teaching fellows, and lab roles that asked for a full CV.
Layout and reading order
This is a single visual layout. A single column can make reading order easier to follow. No layout is guaranteed to work in every recruitment system. Check extracted text and follow the upload instructions.
PDF and Word exports use consistent single-column layouts. To print the visual template, use the builder’s print option and check page breaks.
When another layout may help
Skip for private-sector product, finance or operations roles. An academic CV is the wrong artefact.
