When to use Compact
Use Compact when your evidence is a degree, a project and part-time work. One page, one column. Skip it if you already have two relevant roles plus a placement — squeezing them here hides proof. Move to Classic and a second page.
Who it suits
Students, school leavers, internships, first jobs.
Layout and reading order
This is a single visual layout. A single column can make reading order easier to follow. No layout is guaranteed to work in every recruitment system. Check extracted text and follow the upload instructions.
PDF and Word exports use consistent single-column layouts. To print the visual template, use the builder’s print option and check page breaks.
When another layout may help
Skip for mid-career professionals. A dense ten-year history on one page is a formatting mistake, not a virtue.
