HR Manager CV example

What to include in a hr manager cv: relevant evidence, skills, sample achievement structures and template suggestions.

A useful starting point

Lead with the employee population, the ER or hiring you own, and a policy or metric. Two pages. Skip “people person”. Skip this if you have only done HR administration — use HR advisor.

These examples illustrate structure, not a real applicant’s history. Replace every sample detail with your own evidence. Follow the employer’s instructions on qualifications, registration, document length and file format.

Evidence to consider

  • Headcount
  • ER or IR
  • HRIS
  • A policy or tribunal-adjacent proof you can discuss

Illustrative achievement bullets

  • HR lead for 220 employees across 3 sites
  • Closed 18 ER cases in a year with 2 reaching formal hearing
  • Implemented a HRIS; cut offer-letter time from 10 days to 3
  • Ran a redundancy consultation of 14 roles with legal support

Relevant skills to substantiate

Employee relations · Policy · HRIS · Hiring · TUPE awareness · Stakeholder management

What to leave out

  • Photos
  • Confidential case detail
  • CIPD as the entire personality

Choose a layout
