Paralegal CV example

What to include in a paralegal cv: relevant evidence, skills, sample achievement structures and template suggestions.

A useful starting point

Practice area, tasks you are allowed to do, and a volume or quality proof. Two pages. Skip giving legal advice on the CV. Skip this if you are a secretary — use that example. Skip if you are a solicitor.

These examples illustrate structure, not a real applicant’s history. Replace every sample detail with your own evidence. Follow the employer’s instructions on qualifications, registration, document length and file format.

Evidence to consider

  • Practice area
  • CILEx or degree status
  • Tasks (disclosure, bundling, research)
  • Supervision arrangement implied honestly

Illustrative achievement bullets

  • Reviewed 4,000 documents on a disclosure platform with a documented issue log
  • Drafted first-pass letters under solicitor supervision, 15 a week
  • Built a chronology of 200 events for a trial bundle
  • Logged 6-minute units accurately for 14 months

Relevant skills to substantiate

Legal research · Disclosure · Bundling · Drafting under supervision · Confidentiality · Time recording

What to leave out

  • Photos
  • Solicitor language
  • Confidential client facts

Frequently asked questions

Should I say I give advice?

No if you do not. “Under supervision” is the honest phrase.

CILEx?

State the level. Do not imply solicitor status.

Two pages?
