Receptionist CV example

What to include in a receptionist cv: relevant evidence, skills, sample achievement structures and template suggestions.

A useful starting point

Show the front desk: volume, systems, and a recovery. One page. Skip medical or hotel examples if that is not the desk — those have their own pages. Skip this if you want EA work.

These examples illustrate structure, not a real applicant’s history. Replace every sample detail with your own evidence. Follow the employer’s instructions on qualifications, registration, document length and file format.

Evidence to consider

  • Visitor or call volume
  • Switchboard or visitor system
  • Security or signing-in
  • Availability

Illustrative achievement bullets

  • Front desk for a 90-person office; 40 visitors a day at peak
  • Ran a switchboard of 8 lines with a documented message pad
  • Issued 20 contractor passes a week against a pre-booked list
  • Covered 07:30 opens three days a week

Relevant skills to substantiate

Front desk · Phones · Visitor management · Microsoft 365 · Discretion · Early/late cover

What to leave out

  • Photos unless the employer asked
  • Two pages
  • Inflated office-manager titles

Choose a layout

Explore the compact template or use it in the CV builder. This is a suggested layout; follow the vacancy’s requirements.
