Digital Marketing CV example

What to include in a digital marketing cv: relevant evidence, skills, sample achievement structures and template suggestions.

A useful starting point

Name channels, spend, and a metric you moved. Two pages for specialists with several years; one for juniors. Skip “grew engagement” with no baseline. Skip this if you want a brand-manager seat without commercial ownership.

These examples illustrate structure, not a real applicant’s history. Replace every sample detail with your own evidence. Follow the employer’s instructions on qualifications, registration, document length and file format.

Evidence to consider

  • Paid / organic / email as true
  • Budget if you had one
  • Tools (GA4, ads manager)
  • A test you ran

Illustrative achievement bullets

  • Ran Google Ads at £12k/month; lowered CPA 21% after query-mapping
  • Grew organic sessions 40% in 8 months with a 30-page content refresh
  • Built an email nurture of 6 mails; lifted trial-to-paid 3pp
  • Implemented GA4 events with engineering for 12 key conversions

Relevant skills to substantiate

Google Ads · SEO · GA4 · Email · CRO · Reporting

What to leave out

  • Photos
  • Every certification badge as a cloud
  • Fake ROAS

Choose a layout

Frequently asked questions

Google certifications?

List current ones. Expired badges are clutter.

Should I show screenshots?

Not on the CV. Keep numbers in text. Portfolios can hold redacted dashboards if allowed.

Template?

Modern. Sidebar only if a human will open the PDF.
